I have longhair (collar length). I went cycling around town to get it 'tidied' up. I visited six 'salons' and three 'barbers'.
All three barbers were full up with blokes reading the sun behind steamed up windows, those that got out alive looked like they had been to the sheep sheerer. £8-12

All of the salons looked at me and said that they only work on appointments and the next 'stylist' wouldnt be free to 'asses' until monday. Prices for the oh so trendy 'salons' started at £35 and one started at £45.

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE ON????....Maybe i'll just go back to a number 2 and do it myself...or employ my own hairdresser...CV's in the post please:banghead: .

I'm about to do my son's hair with the clippers.
Form an orderly queue.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
A No2 for me. Clippers £20 from Currys, and Lullabelle's expert services free. It's the only way to do it.
get a decent hair cut you long haired hippy !^_^

Number one for me , do it myself and ask Mrs CK for a once over for any bits i might miss, hard hat at work along with (gasp !) a cycle helmet on the bike makes a hairstyle pointless.

I've tried a No1, but it just makes me look like I should be on Crimewatch. Perhaps when I get a bit more bald.

No. 2 pour moi aussi -self administered without anaesthetic.

Alternatively just try one of the mobile lady hairdressers - they normally charge £4 for a gents haircut round here.

I assume Sir isn't their target customer.
And £35 would be cheap for women's hair, although their transaction is about much more than just cutting and styling.

Actually what I want is a blokes barber who actually knows how to style hair instead of sheer it I guess..hmm...or even a stylist who doesnt want to charge me £40 for talking about my lovelife for an hour...

ten pounds, haircut and shave, every week or two. Go in, sit down, talk about football for half an hour or more, spend three quarters of an hour in the chair, get my head dusted and oiled, feel five years younger.

On the other hand I'm married to somebody who has seven hairdresser's numbers in her phone, (including five Tony and Guys, even though she won't let Tony cut her hair) and whose expenditure on hairdressing is nosebleedingly gargantuan.
