Handlebar widths ?

Flat bars are available in a multitude of different sizes.

Mine varied - I cut two inches off each end .

Thanks for some of the helpful replies. Referring to the length of the handlebars. Are there any pros and cons with longer or smaller?

When I shortened mine I did notice that the bike handled quite differently, perhaps a bit more 'twitchy', but within half a mile I'd got used to it and I prefer it. Plus the silly wide bars made my shoulders ache.

Same here, I just sold the Whyte flatbar partly because the very wide bars made my shoulders ache (I only ride a 38/40cm wide drop bar). I didn't really 'need' the bike and didn;t want to spend any money on it, hence not just getting a narrower bar / adapting

I shortened the bars on my hybrid by 15mm at each end with a pipe cutter. They are still a lot wider than the bars on my road bike, but if I shortened them any more there wouldn't be room for the grips, brake levers, gear shifters, lights, trip computer etc etc

My Pinnacle came with the most enormous wide bars, the bike would not fit through the front door!
I'm short with narrow shoulders, so I copied the length of the bars of my other bikes, cut the excess off with a pipe cutter.
I remember getting shoulder blade pain before the shortening of the bars.

With wider bars you may also experience problems getting through some of the barriers installed on cycle tracks.
