I watched the first couple of series. Then I stopped because I couldn't find any redeeming joy in what seemed to be the ultimate dystopian nightmare.

Basically, it just made me sad to watch it, so I stopped

I can't believe that some of you let your wives choose what goes on the TV.
While she is watching tv i am left in peace in my man cave.

I'm afraid that's my rather feeble response to difficult stuff like this too.

Or violent films.
It all just gets stuck in my skull, and makes me sad.

Especially when I know that somewhere in the world, something not so dissimilar is happening to some poor soul, in reality.

Personally I feel more useful, raising awareness of, and even raising money for groups who are trying to make a positive difference.

I find it very hard to dispassionately watch things like this, and view it as 'just a fiction'.. Cos in many ways it isn't :sad:
