Happy Burns Day

I had Veggie Haggis at the Burns night at the village hall at our previous village Burns night.. I won’t be making that mistake again, I will just ask for a cheese sandwich if I ever go to another one.

Tesco are selling haggis(ies)...Is that the plural of haggis, or is it Haggie, pronounced with an ie at the end which sounds like when you mention a human eye? 🤔 Anyway, needless to say I didn't buy one as being a vegetarian, bordering on vegan, they are full of offal.🤮 The other year I bought one of the vegetarian ones below, albeit on a yellow sticker, a few days after Burns night. It was quite nice, but they didn't have any in this year.

I bought a similar to haggis black pudding a while ago. It has a best before end of March date on it so it's still ok. It's as you can see a vegetarian one, made from black beans and other pulses, not poor little piggies!❤️ 🐷 🐖 🐽

I saw some vegetarian haggis at the Coop. I might match it with a nice bottle of zero alcohol whiskey.

Made stovies with haggis yesterday which were excellent.

@MichaelW2 if you manage to find a decent AF whisky let me know. Gin is the closest thing I've been able to find on that front which comes close to the "real" thing. And not the pricey Seedlip one either, Clean Co do one which is spot on. I see they do a whisky too but I've never seen it in a shop.
