Happy belated Canada day to you sir, my wife is canadian and my daughter was born on Canada day. I am more familiar with Quebec (I think that's still Canada!!) than your neck of the woods though.

Thanks. It was a great day; sunny and lots of celebrations. Some people even went for a ride.

and belated greetings from me...i had the good fortune to spend 18 months in Vancouver, such a fantastic place...i bang my head against the wall moaning "why oh why did i come back to England ???" every day! ...funds permitting ill be over for 2 weeks of Whistler/The North Shore in August

( went to Traflagar Square with a Canuck friend for the Canada Day celebrations....had to leave when the crappy cover band started playing Alanis Morrisette covers! )
