 My son called mid-ride today (well, we were dossing in Greenwich, smoking coffee grounds) to wish me HFD. He was roughing it, having made his way from 'work' in Hong Kong to Singapore Airport...en route to Bali, for eight days holiday.

He hoped that I would have a good time. As the wind whistled Westward, turning us blue-ish, I could have wished him the same...

Edited this morning as I called in to get a 'Special Delivery' from the Post Office - I was 'oop North' when it arrived on Saturday!

My daughter drove up from Brighton to stay with us overnight, then cooked breakfast for us all, and gave me the new Jackson Browne live double album for Fathers Day.

My kids got me some footy shorts and a nice Father's Day card. Had a "No.1 Dad" rosette which I proudly wore all day. I've won that award now 10 years in a row. Beat that, if you can. Back of the net!!

Had a lovely one... long lie-in, breakfast in bed, long bath and papers, 40-mile ride (meeting wifey in middle for tea and cake at cyclist caff; she drove there), another bath, swimming with the kids (yes, water has featured a lot today), dinner. Now to watch footy highlights. ;)
