I've never wished anyone a happy new year until the new year has arrived, and I'm not going to start now.
Do you say "good evening" when you greet someone in the morning? No, thought not.

New Years Eve started early with a few glasses of mulled wine and still plenty left in the (stainless steel) saucepan. BTW its a 15 litre stewing pan.
