Good old St Andrew. He picked a lovely country to preside over.
Google always make an effort to do something like that on my birthday but every year they pick a Scotland theme for me. Baffled!

I'm going to hazard a guess and assume you mean Thatcher?
If I'm right, I am happy to confirm that despite her best efforts the country remains pretty wonderful. Likewise, the north of England.

It is now...
I'm marking the day by lagging pipes in the loft this evening, having spent my time at work amending a T&Cs document for a bank.
Have any other readers had similarly mundane celebrations? Perhaps you had to collect something from the post office or feed a neighbour's cat?
