Harris Mountain Festival - MTB race + guided ride

Here's one for all you mountain bikers out there!

The Harris Mountain Festival organisers have added a couple of mountain bike events this year - both on Saturday 10th September.

There is a race over the Hebridean Cycle Challenge off-road section Meavaig to Bowglas, then on over Clisham old road to Maaruig, through Glen Lacasdail to Urgha and finishing in Tarbert. A superbly challenging route - for those who don't fancy it as a race then how about taking part just for the challenge! Transport will be provided from Tarbert to the start at Meavaig.

The other event is a guided mtb tour over the cycle challenge route from Meavaig to Scaladale centre.

In a wee Rush somewhere just now,but this caught my eye.
I'm an hour away from tarbert,so I would be interested .

Right,sounds great.
I'm in,and I will book it online .I won't be treating as a race though,as I last competed in 2000
