Harrogate based cyclists please help.

I am trying to plan a route from Leeds to Angram and Scarhouse reservoirs,now to save some distance because i will be on my mountain bike.I have decided to get the train to Knaresborough.
So what is or are the roads like from Knaresborough to Pateley Bridge,and is it hilly.

It's a 25-26 mile ride with 1,700ft of climbing, most of it from Lofthouse.

Here's a link to the route that I'd take. I've ridden it several times as far as Pateley Bridge and traffic isn't a problem.
