I've found some items on there that are approximately £50-£60 less than the 'UK based' online stores. I've purchased from a couple of European sites before and been burnt.

On Friday I ordered some Marathon Plus Tours for my old bike as a possible all weather commuter from them at £20 each because they were by far the cheapest for the 26*2.00 version i wanted, obviously with the bank holiday theyve not arrived yet. Before I ordered I checked their reviews in google shopping and they seemed very positive. Ive seen bike-discount.de cheapest a lot of times before, but I ususally pay a couple of quid extra to get things shipped from UK.

Ill let you know if they arrive in the next couple of days. So far i have no worries, although the correspondence is very german - expect to be addressed as Herr Vichingo
