Has anybody on here ever went for an audition

I've never but surely someone on here has applied for one of the following:-

Big Brother
X Factor
Pop Idol
Britains Got Talent
etc..........

We were talking in the office and nearly all of us know of someone who has been on one of these.

More years ago than I care to remember, my Mother dragged me along to an audition for a part in a 'Just William' play.

When it came to my turn I stepped nervously into the spotlight, reading from the script (which had been especially written as a stage adaptation) by the Just William author Richmel Compton. I read my lines fairly confidently, but blew it when I also read the stage direction out loud <exit stage Left>

I took the kid to the Harry Potter audition. Spending eight hours in the concrete mausoleum that is Earls Court with 20,000 chattering teenage girls (and a slightly small number of ever so slightly dejected parents) was a splendid opportunity to catch up on some reading.

She made it to the last 100, so she was very happy.

I auditioned for the BBC, as one of a new raft of history/archaealogy presenters. Didn't get it. Probably didn't have big enough boobs.

Did make it to round 2 of University Challange, with the year 2000 York team.

Si of the CTC forum has been on Time Team. And he has no boobs to speak of. Not that I've looked, obviously.

Well no, the qualifications for men are different - ruggedness and preferably an impenetrable accent. Annoyingly, I could do ruggedness, and would have a stab at any accent they liked, but I think women need to be nice looking and preferably chesty, so I lose out...

My friend Helen won Deal or no Deal last year!! Me&my friend wanted to be on BB YEARS ago but am so glad we didnt Godawful now but good when it started!!
