Has anyone else ever fallen off a stationary bike?!

I came down the usual hill and stopped in the usual spot at the roundabout, only this time when I put my foot down to stand up, the floor wasn't quite where I expected it to be!
I kind of waved my toe at it a bit then realised the bike was falling and so was I!!
I did a triple hop sideways and managed to not actually connect fully with the pavement, but my bike ended up in the middle of the road, and my shoes fell off. Of course it was really busy and lots of people got to watch.
I had hoped for a round of applause if I'm honest, but no.
The guy in the truck behind me was certainly not amused.
My bike is ok, apart from a scuff on my grips and I'm ok too apart from a scuff on my ankle.
I think I laughed all the way to work after.
While I was re-telling the tale to colleagues there was the general assumption that I'd been clipped in -would've made sense if I had been.
How do you fall off when you're not even moving?!

"how do you fall off when you aren't moving?" lack of balance :-)

Oddly clipless pedals might actually help as you, as you are a little more aware of when to unclip and the desire to not unclip unless absolutely necessary does help balance a little

A friend punctured on his in his hallway - shot off the rollers and bounced off the cooker.
No harm done to him, bike or cooker.

I think the problem was that the bike wasn't level, so while I can usually reach the floor, this time I couldn't.
I need to practice getting out of the saddle when I stop, rather than leaning over.

I was waiting with a friend at a pedestrian crossing. We were using the crossing (legally) to cycle across an A-Road. We were stopped, and she had unclipped, but somehow forgot to put her foot down. She fell on me, heavily. Me and the bike are OK, she's not. Torn and crushed ligaments, a broken bone in her shoulder etc. Still in pain and it's 3 weeks later.

You got off lightly!

I use toe clips and straps and occasionally when I have stopped at a junction with my left foot out of the pedals, my bike decides to tilt the other way. Then its all down to a very quick and panic right foot release.

I've just spent 3 weeks recovering from a bruised tailbone causing by sitting down very hard on the pavement when my road bike took exception to my attempts to mount it.

I'd only just finished putting it back into service after having bought a new tourer a few months back, so I think it was taking its revenge for being neglected.

I'm going to start calling it Christine.

Another time I was waiting at the lights and the next minute I was on the ground.

A pedestrian crossing the road while reading the paper had walked into my rear wheel.

All of my Sudden Unintended Dismounts have occurred whilst stationary. Usually when pushing a button at a bike/ped crossing.

Last time I was just waiting in traffic, did the hop hop shoes off crash!

I did last year, cocking my leg over the bike my shorts snagged the rear of the saddle and I toppled into the garden.
Also once unclipped and put my foot on the kerb to find it was vey slippy granite and my SPD-sl just slid away taking me into the splits.
A coupe of near misses when unclip ped and the wind has blown in from the left nearly taking me off into the stationery traffic.
