...and if you have, what do you think of it?

I'm looking for a cheap tablet for the kids and at the moment I can pick one up for £60 with my clubcard points.

I recommended it to a friend for their 9 year old daughter, she loves it and well worth the £60 odd quid they got it for

My niece was recently given one - very good (especially considering the price!). It does or look or feel like a "cheap" unit - I have a Google Nexus 10 from work and there seems to be very little difference in functionality or build/design. My only issue would be that the speakers are on the back (on my Nexus they are front-facing) so not ideal for watching media.

My daughter has one, it's fine, and much cheaper than my Ipad. The touchscreen started playing up after a month, we took it back to the shop and tesco replaced it within 5 minutes, no quetsions asked.
In all honesty I wont be falling for the ipad hype next time I need a tablet.

I've got one too. Mostly used for web browsing and e mail away from home/laptop. Does that fine and Satnav is excellent with a download of Cyclestreets open source mapping.

My only grouse is the poor camera and the time taken to boot.

My OH and stepson both have a NOOK, which is fab. Stepson uses it mostly for social networking and youtube, OH uses it for general internet use. He uses google docs and calendars alot for work purposes and finds the NOOK works brilliantly with google, which not all tablets do.

I thought Hudl's were pricier than that? It's a good spec for that and you can't go far wrong at that price. (Edit: Oh, hang on, you mean £60 to you, nett of club points. Sorry.)

You can get the old model 2013 Google Nexus 7 for not a lot of dosh at the moment.

I've tried out a couple of cheap tablets (i.e. around the £50 - £60 mark) in store and, quite frankly, I think one would be throwing the money away. They're more frustrating than useful.

Thanks to everyone for the replies.
Just to clarify, they have an offer on at the moment where clubcard points are worth double on certain items. So I print off £60 of my vouchers, take them in to the shop, and hand them over for a Hudl.

My Mum has one, cashed in clubcard points like you are thinking of. She's v happy with it. Uses it for web browsing, e-book reading, games etc. Took a load of photos with it this weekend and the quality seems pretty good, certainly better than I was expecting. Screen resolution is OK, not as good as son's Nexus but that costs another £100 so what do you expect.
Don't buy the in-store accessories like the cover. Much better choice, and cheaper, ebay, amazon etc
