..... that since the clocks went back last weekend, a lot of drivers have become uber aggressive in their driving styles towards us this week?

The last week has been hellish and today was a nightmare. I have had at least ten near death experiences in the last two days and 4 certain death experiences on top of this today. Quite how I have survived I do not know. I feel like a cat with no lives left. Perhaps the last month was the lull before this week's storm ?

Too many incidents to relate, suffice to say, they all involved the usual stereotypical moton in all their guises .

Full moon innit.

I had two ped incidents today both quite bad.Unusual though.

Agree Cranks.

I can't remember a noteworthy incident from the whole of winter, and this week had a couple of serious ones.

I think the light causes them to let their guard down. I felt safer when it was dark and damp and they had to be more alert to see through the misty windows.

OTOH I've had 3 lovely commutes, no problems at all. Apparently I get a lot of incidnets, and it's all because of my video camera. Funny, I'm not noticing that.

Drivers aren't driving in the dark at all now... thus they drive like loons because they can see properly all the time.... grrr

I did have two incidents in one journey on Tuesday, one worse than I have had in two years.

I remeber having the same feeling this time last year - riding to work early in the dark lit up like a Christmas tree - I felt safe (ie;noticed) and had less scares. I remember thinking 'roll on Autumn when I'll show up again'.
The feeling came back this week. For us well lit cyclists, we seem (or feel) less visable in the daylight-backed up by an increase in real scares. Perhaps I need to get a day-glo orange top - they seem to stand out more than the ubiquitous hi-viz yellow which drivers have developed an immunity to!

I love it when i have an incident free commute, and i get home and have no footage to upload.

It's a shame this week has not been like that. had a very bad one tonight

Mind, I did have quite a bit of amusement - some red light jumping pavement hopping cyclist, and a chat to a beautifully made up woman in an audi convertible on the phone. I told her about the camera and youtube, and spoke to her friend on the phone suggesting that it wasn't a good idea to talk to someone driving, it was well funny! We still parted in a friendly manner.
