As well as giving probably the best available side visibility for the bike, they are great fun along unlit country lanes what with lighting up the verges and hedges in different colours.

I have seen them before, although I've never seen one in use.

Currently I use a Light & Motion 650 which already has amber side lights built in as part of the main unit. On one of the rear stays I have a red fibre flare which is visible from both sides and to the rear. Not to mention I've reflective sidewalls on the Supremes too!

Monkey lights are better and fun too. The newer models have pc hookup that allows you to design your own pattern.

They're more than just lights, they flash in such a way as to create a pattern above a certain speed. The new models you can write words and patterns even animals I think. It comes with an app for the pc to allow you to design your own patterns. Plus online you can post your patterns or download others.

They're a neat product and helps you to be noticed. It's got the WTF affect going on. A bit like recumbents i think

You could use the snap on LED wrist lights I use as a cheap alternative, just snap them on the frame, they come in many colours.
