No but I once had the pleasure of watching the cops escort one of them off the A46 nr Warwick (for those that don't know, it's pretty much a motorway). About six months later I saw him again.... On one of those reality cop chase shows LOL. Apparently he'd had a row with his missus and was "leaving her". They took him back home.... Poor bugger

I suppose the appeal of using them on the road is no kerbs to go up and down, and side roads have to give way.

A few years back I had a user of one of those leave the pavement and enter the road without looking, so I shouted a warning. I suppose he thought the road was empty as he couldn't hear any traffic. I was glad to see that a few weeks later he had learned something from the incident and fitted a wing mirror.

Not had one pull out on me, but a couple of weekends ago I came across one of them being driven on the road, on consecutive rides, several miles apart. Both disturbing for different reasons. The first was on a quiet(ish) rural road, where there was a pavement, so a car would not expect to find one on the carriageway. The second was on the A49, one of the major routes from Wigan to Warrington
