I must admit i wimped out last night , with the amount of snow given out i did not fancy my commute with up to 10 cm of snow and we had ... about 2 mm bloody typical
I would think Schwalbe Ice Spikers could easily cope with 10cm of snow, they look like motorbike tyres compared to my normal 28c tyres, even huge next to my 35c Marathon Winters.

Cracking a solo.
Well, I got scalped last night, first time I have had anyone travelling in the same direction as me and the bugger did a stealth catch up and pass on the big hill at the start of my commute.
I can console myself on two counts though, one is that he didn't have any lights, he did have one of those flashy refective bands which they sell in Aldi/Lidl for a quid or two for a pack of four, which for some bizarre reason was wrapped around his head, the other is that it was of course the fault of my bike that I was doing my best impression of somebody that's not very fit

Canyon Aeroad CF 7.0 Di2
Heck my tyres on my MTB cost close to that with inner tubes .

Yes I did mention to him that my new tyres were £70.00

I dont think he heard me though as he was looking a rather strange green colour and vomitting in the waste paper bin ^_^

I spent ages waiting for a bargain, £50 each was a little excessive, eventually got them for £30 each.
So my ride this morning cost me about £2 a km, need some more snow to bring the price per km down^_^ .
