You have to be careful with that. Google takes any kind of attempts to gain their ranking system very seriously and can mean the banning of certain sites from their listings.

All this does is ping the website against stat sites its quite harmless and has worked to get things indexed in the past

He was sentenced to an 18 month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £50 compensation to me, £35 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Nice one, but where do they come up with these 'costs'? I'm sure the cost of taking this to court probably costs thousands which should all come out of the offenders pocket if found guilty.
