All this talk of skirts etc - it does bring to mind..I don't know many guys that like shorts - is there a reason for this?

This looks quite interesting.

Oooh. Might have to add that to the wishlist.

I wear them when the weather is appropriate
I even wear a kilt at times.

However, there are a couple of things that may prevent this being as common.

1. Men's legs are not that attractive. (or are they?)
2. When was a little boy at school we wore shorts all year round and it was a sign of being grown up when we were given long trousers.

graduating to trousers..that's quite cute touche!

However, your point on whether men's legs are attractive is interesting.
Do women wear skirts to be looked at (and to have their legs considered attractive) or for coolness? Probably a bit of both in varying degrees depending on the individual but would this be a similar thought for guys?

I had a mate at college who shaved his legs and put on fishnets for a fancy dress night and his legs were very nice!

Shorts fan here, I suppose that I am of an age of "I don't care what other people think I look like" and will wear them throughout the year. I would also go to the diy shop in clothes covered with paint etc whilst Mrs 4F and the little 4F's tut dissaprovingly

Must be a bloke thing

That's the reason I don't wear them much, daft as it sounds. One of the memories of my childhood is being a page boy at my uncle's wedding and being in a big sulk all day because my cousin had been allowed to wear long trousers and I hadn't.

And I find I get cold in the evenings.

I do that. Oily jeans, grease up to my elbows ... "you can't go uptown like that!" Well, I'm only going to buy some tools.

it depends on the person - I'm still young and have bypassed the need to care what people think I look like or what people think on what I do...quite liberating isn't it to not have all that faff of 'keeping up with the Jones'

I'm with you on that one - not a bloke thing at all!

I love wearing shorts, as I make a LOT of men feel inferior when they look at my legs - tanned and heavily muscled

Thousands of miles a year cycling is hard work, but has it's fringe benefits.

Back to the OP,

I agree, i don't reckon I'd like to shave as often as men have to- especially when you get those ingrown hairs along your neck near the adams apple but then as RT suggests, growing a beard is ok but then it starts to itch a bit

What I'd like to be able to do is piss standing up but wouldn't take the compromise of having external bits! However, just for the record it damn well hurts when they get hit whether you're male of female!!

Hi TT

The short designer stubble look is very fashionable these days. My avatar shows me with a short trimmed beard and that was taken in 1980 so fashion has finally caught up with me. I've shaved it off and regrown it over the years. Anyway what I was going to say was that the itching goes away after a couple of weeks.

Women can't drink as much alcohol as men, and suffer more from hangovers.
