have you ever in real life met someone from forums by accident?

I was out for a meal about four years ago now and got talking about Porsche ( I had a porsche at the time and was in the Porsche club, well still am in fact )

Anyway I digress

We got talking about the club and the forum so i said to this guy, on first meet. Have you ever seen Jane Smart post?

He said yes.. ... ..

Well I said, I am that said Jane Smart

hahahaha you should have seen his face.

In 2006 I was in the US riding my motorcycle from coast to coast and back when in Yellowstone National Park I came across a British registered motorbike. When the rider removed his helmet I realised it was a chap who'd been to my house twelve months earlier and I'd sold him a set of BMW panniers.

Then entering a tunnel in Zion Canyon I saw a Pan Eurpean headlight approaching. When I got to daylight I stopped, and found he'd turned around and stopped alongside me. He's been contributing to a Pan forum too.

I've also met Pan European-owners from the US when they've come over to London for a holiday, and had the great pleasure in showing them around the sights in our capital.

Myself and Vikeonabike ended up in Aldi for their recent winter clothing special, totally co-incidentally at the same time. I knew it was he as (a) he was wearing police uniform, ( he was looking at the cycling gear and(c) he was impressively hirsute in the chin department

I rode up behind a young lady on the Hagley Road and asked her whether she was Reluctant Cyclist. I'm so glad she was, otherwise I might be typing this during my daily hour of recreation.

I chance upon Cycle Chatters as a matter of course. On average one a week, but, not so long ago, two in ten minutes.

Whilst out on a ride I started chatting to a bloke, a few minutes after I left him it dawnwed on me that it was michaelm of the C+ forum; I was to meet him for the 1st time officially a few weeks later.

I have bumbed into a few CC'ers too but ones I'd met before.

I’m on a kilt forum and I was at Portsmouth Cathedral for an Ordination Ceremony, loads of people there and out of the crowd someone smiled at me (I was wearing my kilt with all the trimmings) I just smiled back and went outside later a man and his wife came out and said "your Richard from the kilt forum he had recognised me from my avatar photo

I was in my local Tesco Express once when I spotted a very distinctive Colnago outside that I recognised. It belonged to Rob S who was getting some munchies before a train home after one of his century rides. I said hello and he was very surprised that I recognised him by his bike!
