Have you ever inexplicably fainted before?

I've fainted when messing about jumping on the sette, hit my knee really hard. Woke up and had peed myself.

Also nearly gone a few times after seeing some nasty knife and blade injuries at work .

As kids, me and my mates used to make ourselves pass out. I can't remember the exact technique but it was something like squatting on the floor and swinging both arms for a couple of minutes. Then biting on our thumbs really hard. Haven't a clue why it used to work.

The only time I ever fainted was pee related too. It was many years ago when I was still at school so that's at least 35 years ago.

I had a pain in the side and needed to go to the loo. I looked down and noticed that my pee was bright red. Next thing I knew I woke up lying in the urinal Most embarrassing

Turned out I had a kidney stone. Most pain I have ever been in.

I fainted twice as a kid. Once was in a church (I was in the choir) and the other was when I got a sweet stuck in my throat on Easter Sunday. But I'm ok now, thank you very much.

I've fainted once while visiting someone in hospital, and come close another time. I think one of the cleaning fluids / antiseptics doesn't agree with me (both times no blood or other things that can make you feel woozy if 'sensitive' were in view). Does that count as 'inexplicable'?

Once in the 80s when listening to live aid out of my window when I live din wembley...the home made beer had nothing to do with it.

Ive fainted, but voted no. It was a warm day, on the bike, worked hard and got off, ended up being helped by a very kind gent who I couldnt even see because I was that far gone.

As a teenager, I had *really* low blood pressure, and I used to black out frequently - I would lose vision as if there were blinds closing over my eyes; I assume this happened as the blood was draining out of my head.

More than 30 yrs ago I woke up in hospital in Copenhagen - no, I was cold sober - and on my way, walking, to a meeting at the Central Bank timed for 1100.

Eventually the cause was diagnosed as a blood sugar deficiency; I now recognise the symptoms and manage the occasional recurrence with small doses of dextrosol. If anyone wants more info because this may explain their condition feel free to PM with yr details - consulation fees are modest!

Me, blood & a syringe ARE NOT the best of mates...

So, upon going for a 'test me for everything - test' I managed in 2003...to get thru' the test not uttering a word to anyone about my 'situation' then got across a road from med. centre THEN whilst I was outside some public toilets...I woke up and got myself into said bogs...freshened up...vowed never to do that again !

2009 MARCH: Health test got to med centre, next day, after being told by the Dr. the night before don't have anything to eat from after your tea 6pm...

By the time I get into the med. centre at about 10am I'm seeing stars never mind feeling not to good 'at the blood giving thing'...I walked into the room...then walked out & came around with several people around me:- ended up in hospital with palpitations...

What I learnt from the situation - never listen to a Dr. ! reserach your prob yourself & if your on the point of death then then seek medical help...thats the ideaology I use now !

I selected no, as I've never actually passed out before.
However I do often stand up and lose all balance, lose some definition in both hearing and vision, just momentarily... if that carried on for more than a second or two, i reckon i'd pass out.

No idea what it's all about though, last time i tried to figure it out i established it may have something to do with low blood pressure and low resting heart rate (~45).

I've fainted before, but it's always been down to a reason easy to figure out, low blood pressure, standing up suddenly, standing up too long, heat & meds etc.

Isn't it quite hard to faint while seated? (like the lady in the incident)
