I stood next to David Badiel at Stansted airport. I did think of saying hello, but thought how wierd it would be if everyone did that to me, so I just left him be.

Funnily enough, at Stansted on another occasion, a young guy, well dressed but with a bit of an afro and a guitar case was in front of me. The girls behind check in seemed all giggly and smiley....but to this day, I don't know who it was.

My friends mum went to LA/Vegas on holiday in the 70's.
Went for a drive and was sure she spotted Liberace in his garden, she got out of the car and did a peeping Tom to get a better look.

I once got told off by Geoff Capes for mucking around with hurdles at Gateshead Athletics Stadium. My friend and I were making a racket with said hurdles while he was training for an international event the next day.
Needless to say, we apologised profusely and vanished sharpish.

I once had a brief chat with the Queen Mother. She was doing the Queen Scout presentation the year I received mine and picked me out for a quick word.

From the lofty heights of Royalty the only other one I can think of is Mark o' Shea who I bumped into in a supermarket. I only recognised him because he appeared in a catalogue I used to get for survival stuff.

As teenagers a mate and I were edited out of the scene where everyone waved as Anneka Rice's Treasure Hunt helicopter took off from Totnes park. We were the only ones mooning!

I went to Albion legend Tony Brown's testimonial in 1999. As his thank you to the supporters he said he would sit in the home end for the first 45 minutes, which turned out to be next to me. Very nice bloke, the first half passed me by as a bundle of nerves. It's not every day you meet somebody with over 700 appearances and almost 300 goals in the Stripes.

I was involved in professional wrestling for a few years and trained with former Gladiator Inferno and her sister Faye. Both appeared on Big Borether [sic].
Do you know my uncle? He is Julios flying partner I believe, he often goes over Europe with him to competitions and the like.
Probably not directly. Julio is very well known in control line circles (sic) and i met him in the nineties when he was Keil Kraft Phantom racing and i couldn't get my act together to compete or rather my potential team mate's partial deafness and lack of mechanical empathy meant that he always got the compression wrong on my PAW diesels and he consistently launched the plane with an over compressed engine setting and slow lap times. I took to fun flying where I'd set the engine up and return to the centre of the circle leaving him to just launching. Spectating was nearly as much fun. Julio is a very affable chap and i've just spotted him in a recent copy of Aeromodeller taking part in freeflight activities in Peterborough.
