Not some bollocksy egg and spoon race from dim and distant school days, but a proper full on sporting type competition where other people were trying their hardest to win as well?

I just found a bag of my old gongs in the garage, christ I must have been good, where did it go:sad:

Yep I have. The one thing that is still precious to this day though and this is the place to appreciate such a triumphant score, was when in Primary school I won

the SLOW bicycle race:laugh::biggrin:, wouldn't even attempt it now as I'd fall off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:laugh:

I might one day win the North Wales belly dancing championship if Monday evening goes according to plan:biggrin:

But then again, probably not!

Winning's a habit.

Just this past Friday evening I triumphed again at the school "quiz nite".

Mostly on the grounds that I was, despite a good effort, more sober than most of the people there, they being a graphic illustration of the

Mums who don't get out a lot + leave pass + Chardonnary = complete shambles

Equation. Knew we were onto a winner what the first 6 girlies announced that they were called "Girls aloud out".

You're going to have to streak to victory in a pie-eating endurance event first...

As a schoolboy I won a few rifle shooting competitions with a crowning moment at the Ashburton Shield when I made it into the top 30-I still have a cheque for one pound as winnings. I then went onto clay shooting. I have won plenty of team medals as I shoot for my force team and have done for the last 20 years. I have been Trap Champion for the force, and I have a gold medal for the England Police Down the Line Team in the Home International circa 1997, regional champion at Down the Line for several years and even took silver in a regional skeet competition once (not my favourite discipline!)I've also won a couple of trophies as a member of the Great Britain Police Team in Olympic Trap and Sporting competitions.

OK, that is a tad better than my clay shoot career. Nice one Cubist!

Still chasing the perfect clay score myself... PB is 48/50, pesky long distance wabbits!

Shot 100% at my one and only try at skeet though (with a fixed choke game gun).
