Headset upgrade

I need to replace my FSA Orbit CE headset and I thought I might upgrade at the same time. This has proved to be a very complicated issue so does anyone have any advice?

What are you trying to improve upon with the upgrade?

Good question Tim. The crown race is rough where it is split and has chipped the cup that fits onto it so I was looking for something where this wouldn't happen again. I can't feel it when I ride but now that I know it is there it bothers me.
