So I dropped my daughter off at gymnastics last night and went to the pub; there were a couple of articles in Cyclist November issue that got me thinking.
1) 3D printed titanium jockey wheels at £700 a pair. It seems to me two types of people will buy these: professional teams, and self-gratification artists. Reading through all the PR gimmickry and after printing they still need further processes! Isn't it true, CeramicSpeed, that the whole point of 3D printing them is that you can say you did, and attract more self-gratification artists?
2) Electronic gear systems are going to shift gear for us when they think we need to change ratios. Can anybody think of anything worse? Not so easy to dismiss as the above, because I'm sure it will happen and eventually trickle down. I feel about 100 years old.
