I saw Ginger Baker when he stood in for Hawkwind's drummer who fallen of stage, I think, and broken his ankle back in 1980, at a local gig. I was stood right at the front of the stage, and when Hawkwind came on, Ginger Baker came straight to the front and shook my hand!
I still have the drumstick that he threw into the crowd at the end of the solo.
Just happened to have a copy of one of the Elric novels in my back pocket in a pub and this chap started talking about it, then offered to sign it!
Either he was Michael Moorcock (as claimed) or knew a lot about the books.
