Are skating helmets specific or are they the same as cycling helmets? Are they as well ventilated? I can see that the 2 activities create similar design requirements.
I'm not sure anyone finds them comfortable but I do understand that the lack of comfort may well be a good and legitimate reasona for note wearing them.BentMikey said:I don't want to wear a helmet because I think helmets don't have any significant safety benefit, cycling is very safe and thus doesn't need helmet wearing, and I find them uncomfortable.
BentMikey said:Skating might be a little less safe than cycling. I just use a cycling helmet for skating, more ventilation (but still not enough), and looks cool.

Oooh get you.*Ahem* I used to be an ardent helmet *religionist* you know. Bit of a change of opinion there then. Anyway, let's not go further down this route, as it's off topic.
Flattery will get you places (as well as your bike). It's still safe even with those goons hooning about, and considerably safer than the average UK cyclist for experienced and skilled cyclists like you.
