Honestly, Doug, try to keep up: surely it was her partner, you know, the older man she kept secret for a long time, who self harmed. Brian found his body in the shepherd's hut....

So I've just learnt* that one of the jurors is Graham Seed, the man previously married to one of Helen's second cousins once removed and killed by another of them....

Now there's a thought. Ambridge serial killer Deavid Archer could do away with Rob and make it look like an accident. He's got form for that sort of thing after all.

He'll have to think of a new method, though. Chainsaw in a tree... Banner on a roof.... Rob had better stick to ground level. Whilst avoiding Tom. And Ian. And Shula. And Kirsty and Jonny and....

Just caught up.

Thank goodness none of you lot are on any of my juries:whistle:

I am surprised the rape allegations were kept in but fair do to Anna she put a good case for it.

Helen cannot get a suspended sentence as the minimum sentence for S.18 GBH ( the lesser offence) is 2 years. The sentence she receives has to be 12mth or less to get a suspended so that leaves either a guilty and possible appeal or a complete not guilty.

Looking forward to tonight to hear the juries side of things.

I've listened to 2hrs and 15 minutes of the archers today, normally listen to the omnibus but had to tune in tonight for the verdict hour long episode. Worried about Henry now

Well....
There's the custody hearing coming up on Wednesday.
Presumably the police will be obliged to investigate the public accusations that have now been made of coercive control and rape.
There's the rather puzzling matter of where Henry actually is, and how far Rob will go in his desire to use Henry to hurt Helen.
How much self control would either Tom or Ian have if they met Rob in a dark alley?
Not to mention the unresolved issue of whether Anna is now a fixture or whether her character will disappear now her purpose is done.....

I was interested in the silence after Robs last comment to Helen.

Will she weaken?
Indeed. She's already repeating her previous mistakes by keeping Rob's latest abusive behaviour to herself and not telling her parents, reinforcing the difficulty of extracting oneself from such a relationship.
