Thought I'd join the forum and see what information I can pick up.
First of all the little bit about myself is that I recently passed my full Cat A motorbike test, but decided to get a bicycle for now
. I'm getting my hands on a nearly new Specialized Tricross on Tuesday for £200, and at the minute, with my level of fitness at least, will be using it for commuting mostly around Belfast. I think my usual commuting distance should be about 10 miles for a round trip.
Had a look at the bike itself and (I hope I did this right anyway, I'm not too daft when it comes to looking at machines and checking them over anyway haha), checked all the welded parts for rust, had a tug at a good few spokes and check the brake wires weren't snagging when turning the handle bars etc etc and everything seems fine.
Just can't wait to pick it up now and get out on it, or at least before the weather turns.
