Hi there - I've just joined the forum.
I am hoping that someone on here will have relatively recently completed the Caledonia Way (Campbelltown to Inverness).
Basically I am looking for some advice on how suitable the route is for a carbon road bike (with 'sturdy' 28mm tyres). I am keen to take this bike as it is so light, especially when loaded with bikepacking kit (as opposed to racks/panniers etc).
The alternative is to take my Trek hybrid which is much heavier (4kg) but obviously more suited to more challenging routes & trails. I can obviously fit the bikepacking kit to this bike too rather than racks/panniers.
I look forward to receiving advice and help - many thanks in advance.
Cheers
