Good morning, I have been cycling on and off, for a few years, though more off! As a child, I was never off my bike, flat roads, hills, though I can't remember cycling up, though, I have a vivid memory of coming downhill and crashing into a stationary VW Beetle. No padding, gloves, or helmet. Also, bumping up and down the pavements and cycling hands free.
Then came adulthood and with it employment, maintaining a house and a garden, plus all the daily/weekly chores, socialising with friends etc etc. I purchased a Raleigh Pioneer in 1991, and unfortunately over the years, cycling was sporadic. Then came retirement and travelling with a rucksack. Given the last year, my vintage bicycle has came into use and I'm so enjoying cycling, especially early mornings or when I get out into the countryside. A pure joy!
