Hi there everyone,
My name is Tom, I have only recently (3 months ago) started commuting to college in Nantwich by bike. Until August I only had a build-it-yourself mountain bike from a catalogue to ride which had begun to fall apart after two years. I now have a Holdsworth Criterium racing bike from eBay which I have modified slightly to my needs. This have involved quite a few bodge jobs; such as attaching panniers and mudguards without mounting eyelets because it is a racing frame.
My daily commute is just under 5 miles each way and I can just about do it in 20 minutes and end up in a sweaty mess at the other end
I have yet to attempt a longer distance ride into the Cheshire countryside, I am just waiting for a decent weekend to have a go.
