Hello from Essex

Hello from a newbie in Essex. I am a 44yr old (ouch!) lady road biker. I enjoy weekend rides of 20-50 miles and summer evening rides of up to 20miles. I have a Giant bike. Been cycling for about 4-5 years
Anyone else in the NE Essex/ Suffolk border area that likes similar?
Also planning a trip to Amsterdam via Harwich+ferry next year, so after hints and advice from anyone who has done similar.

Doing the Essex Castle ride next weekend (27th) which starts in Colchester. 50miles. Hoping it'll be a tad cooler by then as I don't really fancy this heat for cycling in. Last year it rained all day!
Also signed up for the Free-ride in London on Sat Aug 3rd. Anyone else doing any of those?
