Hello from Lancing!

Hi, i'm 16 years old, I started cycling when i was 9 and loved it since then! I have gone through 2 giant rock SE Mountain bikes, however I have recently fallen in love with road bikes, I have a barracuda vivante ( not very good i know :S) but am looking forward to buying a Specialized allez. I currently ride alone as i'm waiting to be fully geared before joining my local cycle club(lets just say they did not appreciate my creaky bottom bracket, which I had to replace with a sealed bottom bracket) if anyone wants to ride with me feel free to send me a message, i'm cycling in most of spare time

I used to work in Lancing (Lived in Worthing and Upper Beeding). Busy roads from what I remember.

Yeah its quite busy, whenever I fancy quiet roads I can always ride around Steyning area

My brother rides around Steyning, henfield etc. It's good. North of Brighton can be a challenge. Ditchling beacon for instance. Try the road from Steyning that goes over the downs to East Worthing (Botolph's) But in both directions

Yeah, i have been up the beacon once before, one hell of a ride that hill haha, and i will find out about that, thanks

Thats very handy, especially as i live less than a mile away from the end, I'm tempted to ride along the seafront as I often do, but instead of riding the way that i have came I could cycle over devils dyke for my hill climb practice, then i have a quite cycle through Beeding to finish near my house, thanks very much

Welcome. You can get from the dyke to steyning along the northern line of the downs if you are willing to explore. There are some nice places to look at, and the roads are quiet.
