Hi Stacey, welcome to the site, been here a few months myself and a good source of advice and information. Take care when looking for insurance about the small print. Like you I worry about my bike getting stolen and although I keep it in my locked garage, it wouldn't be insured because I use a padlock instead of a 5 lever mortise lock and my bike isn't locked to an immovable object. See you are from Liverpool, I'm from Southport, but know Liverpool very well as all my family hail from there....You probably already know several routes, but one of my favourites round here is the Leeds - Liverpool canal where there are some terrific pubs when you get past Maghull and up towards Burscough...a bit dodgy on a road bike, but great on an MTB....happy cycling.
