Hello from North Lanarkshire...

Well I've done it. After a few weeks of browsing the forums I've now made my own account to become a participating member. At the tender age of 46 and after years of inactivity apart from work I decided last July to take up my favourite childhood past time of cycling, I bought a nice big Giant Escape 1 and started getting some miles under my bum and building up some fitness. Since then I read the review on the B'twin Triban 3, and wanted one....! Having bought my T3 at the beginning of December, to my shame for various reasons i've only managed about 50 miles on it. That's gonna change...!!

I'm looking forward to cycling my extra pounds off this year, seeing some of the countryside and meeting lots of new people along the way.

Hi SubSonic and . I wouldn't worry too much about only having done 50 miles so far as it's 50 miles more than a large percentage of the population will have ridden in the depths of winter.

Get out as often as you can and enjoy.
