Hello from North Wales

Hi guys,
My name is Ben; I am currently studying in Bangor North Wales but living at home in Wrexham. I was commuting 3 days a week in my car costing me over £100 a week in fuel. Being a mature student I didnt fancy halls so felt this was my easiest option. I then was advised to buy a student rail card which more than halves my journey cost until you tot up fuel and parking to the train station.....hence me joining the forum so hopefully you many highly knowledgable cyclists can enlightne me and lead me into a fitter richer future of commuting!

I have a crappy carerra mountain bike, that is donkeys years old but am looking to buy a cheap road bike for my commute which i the man reason I joined the forum!

Its beyond use mate trust me haha! Needs far too much maintenance doing to it to get it even remotely ridable for long distances!

If you read the original post i have a rail card so will be using the bike from mine to the train station then from Bangor train station to Uni.
