Hello from Slough

Hi All,

Just joined this morning, I'm John, 44, and living in Slough, Berkshire but please don't hold it against me. I got my first bike when i was 12, a Raleigh Grifter! After years of riding mountain bikes & hybrids around London I now have a road bike and gradually increasing my ride mileage - around 35 miles at the mo' - so i can do the BHF London to Brighton Night Ride in July without needing assistance from the BHF when i finish the ride.

I enjoy watching the Pro Cycling on tv and often fall asleep watching the flat stages.

If you can do 35 miles currently you'll probably find it fairly easy to step up the distances from there. I hope the ride goes well.

Cheers Phil, i'm getting there little by little. Used to go out with a Shropshire lass from round Wattlesborough Heath way; great area for cycling.

As they say it's a small world. I did a couple of rides out round that area earlier in the year - was nice and I'll have to go back.

Cheers Mark, usually out on a Sundays at the weekend going to Burnham Beeches/Park, Windsor or Gerrards Cross - gradually venturing further afield into Maidenhead but just learning the area as i moved here from East London a couple of years ago

Nice one mate im in your further afield part but go out around Windsor alot usually meeting up with a few people off here at the Ice Rink in Slough and heading out somewhere around the area.
