Hi Everyone

New to the forum, pointed here by a member on another forum! Presently stressing myself over getting ready for the Etape Caledonia , as it's the first time SWMBO & I have done such an event and such a distance! Any suggestions, do's/dont's welcome!

Anyway, looking forwards to the chat!

Welcome UB (if I may be so bold).

Welcome UB (given someone else was already so bold!)

There are many others much more qualified to offer advice than me (a mere novice by comparison) but I have in the last year progressed from commuting 20 miles (there and back) 2 or 3 times a week to doing a a dozen or so AUDAXes between 100-210km.
For what it's worth i offer the following:-

(in what time you've got left) try to plan some longer rides (building up - 50km-80km - 100km -130km) in so you can get used to being in the saddle for longer and longer periods and within that discover what works for you in terms of comfortable clothing, food (and supplements) and drinks (and energy gels or energy drinks). Refuelling during a long ride is crucial - as is pacing yourself. Ask advice from all and everyone on the rides you do.
Good Luck (o en catala, 'Bona Sort!')
