It has a fantastic network of cycle tracks, bridleways and obscure footpaths (I know you shouldn't but I did), it's what got me back into cycling.

I lived in the NE near Middlesbrough between 1992 and 1998.

Ah the glory days of when Boro was in the premier league and we had Juninho and Ravenelli as star players.

I reside not far from Middlesbrough, about 30mins south of Durham.

It happens to be Durhams Fringe festival this weekend. (25 July)
