Afternoon everyone!

Found my way here after I have begun the search for a new bike via my works cycle scheme and felt like my head was going to explode from the sheer variance out there! After riding my trusty 8 speed Voodoo Limba for the past 6 years, I thought it might be time for a change. But with every video on youtube and article telling me something different, I might just stick with what I have got  its mad how something as simple as a bike becomes an incredibly difficult choice to make!

Ill take a look through the posts on here to see what others have and am looking forward to taking part in a challenge here too!

Cheers!

Welcome.

And I'm afraid you'll get a lot of contradictory advice here. Everyone will tell you that if you like your bike, keep it. But they'll also tell you that you should get a new bike.

Speaking of which have you seen any you like?

Welcome to the madhouse 👋

Good on ya for joining up to one of the CC Challenges. It does give you incentive to ride…….👍

Speaking of which and your new bike quandary: I’m currently down to just the 9 bikes. The cheapest and least racy is the one I find most comfy / enjoying riding the most; and so gets used 85% of the time. Make of that what you will……..

Good luck either way.

I can only squeeze 2 bikes under my stairs, otherwise I'd have one for every day!

I love the Limba, but as always id like something shiny and new! It's served as my qll round bike, commuting on the canal, longer weekend rides so something else would have to be equally good.

I quite like the look of the sonder camino, but am unsure whether to go for a full gravel bike, or look in to the endurance road bikes, like from canyon!

I have an old Fuji 2.3 which is for triathlons etc, was a bargain 300 a couple of years back.

It's not been sunny in Manchester for a while. It's at least not raining.

PS The Sonder Camino has a good reputation. Have a look at some of the Dolan gravel bikes too. Only up the road, so you can go and call in. Steel, Ti and Carbon. I am considering a Dolan GXC 2.0

Ha ha.....we all know that sunny and Manchester rarely get mentioned in the same sentence!
I am in Audenshaw, Tameside.

I'll definitely check Dolan out. TheCamino seems a decent do it all bike, the 1x drivetrain means less maintenance and can take chunky tyres, meaning it stood out as a decent option!

And I said to my wife I needed bigger stairs.....she just rolled her eyes and said 1 out, 1 in!
