High everybody - Just getting back in to cycling after a long time away. Just bought a Bianchi Via Nirone Xenon (big change from my old Ron Kitching). I am looking forward to getting some miles under my belt.

Those saddles are still like sitting on a razor blade though!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome. Once you've got some mileage on that saddle you'll not notice how painful it is. Enjoy.

Cheers! It takes a while to break in the old butt it's true. However, no prizes for suffering if it doesn't work out. Find a friendly LBS that will let you try out a few different saddles.

What works for one (or 1,000) riders won't necessarily work for you.

Where abouts on Teesside are you? There are a group of us who ride from the Fox Covert near Ingleby Barwick. The rides are organised on http://www.mtbe.co.uk/ We are out most weekends and have also been doing some evening rides round Teesside Industrial Estate.
