Hello all,
Thought I'd welcome myself...I'm Kris and live in Hayfield, High Peak. I'm a roadie and try to get out as often as I can, usually around the hills of the High Peak - you can't avoid them around here!
I've done the Manchester to Blackpool a few times, did the Manchester 100 last year (in less than 6 hours, if you were wondering
) and have just signed up for the Three Shires Cyclo Sportive. I've also got half an eye on the Tour Of The Peak sportive in October, but as yet undecided - have you seen how much climbing is involved?!?
I've recently treated myself to a Garmin Edge so am loving mapping out rides on minor roads I didn't know existed!
If anybody wants to join me for a ride sometime, gimme a shout.
Cheers,
Kris

Ive got a edge 705 myself which I found to be really great for plotting self guided routes or even as a training aid it was money well spent.
Not done any cycling in your parts, but both my husband and I are keen climbers (of the rock/ice sort!!) so know the area pretty well. We're also looking to maybe do some cycling over the summer in the Peak District, if we get fit enough for the hills.
