It's nice to find this site and talk everything bikes. My cycling pattern has changed a lot in the last 5 years. More Zwift, less IRL. Too dangerous on the streets and the bike paths are chaos. We have advocated for protected bike lanes and have had some good success except the government is now planning to rip them out to make roads wider for cars. Sigh. I continue to support cycling as the only way around a big city apart from transit.

Hi and welcome.

Many moons ago, I lived in TO. My last residence was downtown at Church & Wellesley. Which neighbourhood do you live in?

Big shame the changes you have found over the last 5 years. Shame too on the gov't wanting to take out bike lanes. Madness. Big cities are finding it more difficult to accommodate all parties - peds, cyclists, motorists and delivery vehicles. Bike is the most efficient way to get from A to B in large cities.
Avoiding east/west streets like Church/Carlton, St Clair, Dundas etc makes navigation complicated to avoid the streetcar tracks!

Any questions, ask away, most folk here are a friendly bunch.

I believe the current problem is whichever Ford rules the Ontario grubby mint.
