Hi to everyone, I also live in Durham, plenty on decent hilly road rides to be had, though I also enjoy getting on the 'flat' NCN paths ^_^

I try and get out 5 times a week and cycle about 150 miles a week.

My goal this year is to cycle 2012 miles, I've completed 1559 of those miles in 63 rides. (And, to cycle up Iveston bike out of my saddle all the way, having asthma, this will be difficult).

Hi
My brother is a uni lecturer / scientist as Durham .

Welcome Lone_Rider,

Some good miles going on there

When I feel like a break from the roads, I usually head up the Lanchester Valley track on NCN14 from Bearpark and join NCN7 before passing your place across to Stanley and back to the A167.

It must be nice having instant :bicycle: access to the trails.

It's a treat having the NCN paths so close, not so good in this weather but I'm heading from Delves down to Crook and back tonight after work. It's forecast for heavy rain  So that section from Malton to Langley Park will be a little bit muddy.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
