Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, just getting into road cycling but at the wrong time of year but that's me ..
No, the right time of year. Had a brilliant 32 mile ride tonight after dark. Set off in one direction but then thought 'stuff this' so headed into central Manchester for a cruise around the City centre....
Then headed out in the wrong direction (lost, but I don't care) and ended up in Prestwich. Recognised where I was at this point so turned back to Heaton Park and round to Chadderton and Oldham. Dropped into Ashton but was still short of my 30 mile target so continued out to Hyde and back to clock up 32 miles. It was awesome, clear moonlit night, cool and crisp with an average speed of 16.5 mph.
IMO embrace the dark, embrace the weather, embrace urban riding, it rocks!
