Hello from a fellow Scot. Yes just need to get rid of this snow and cold and hope the temperature goes up a bit. I've been away from the forum for a while, but hope to get back on my bike after a few months off. Feel like a newbie again.

Hello and welcome. Coming back might be a bit tough at first but build the miles up slowly and you'll soon find it easier. Saddle might be uncomfortable, either persevere or find one that suits your sit bones better. Good luck.

Thanks for the warm welcomes and advice. I’m definitely struggling with the saddle after about half an hour it gets uncomfortable

Saddles are always difficult. Try some padded shorts but don't be tempted by those gel type saddles. Specialized dealers have a measuring device which might help you.
