Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. In cycling terms, I'm on the practical end of things - my bikes have racks, mudguards and dynohub lighting but that doesn't mean I don't like to have fun on them. I'm based just on the edge of the New Forest so I often enjoy a bit of "underbiking" (though most of the NF is tame in off-road terms!), otherwise I use my bikes as transport.
Also worth mentioning that I run Southampton Bike Kitchen, a free community bike workshop which happens on Mondays 7-9pm at the Hub Cycleworks in Southampton.
The furthest I've cycled in one day is 100 miles (it turned out I'd planned my route just about perfectly to do the full century - in fact towards the end I was worried I'd have to go around the block a couple of times before I got home!) and I've done 2-3 nights bike camping but no "proper" tour yet...
I hope that's a decent enough intro!
