Hi everyone!

I thought I should make a topic and say hello seeing as I've been lurking around for a few days now.

I've just got into cycling properly (with a little encouragement from my OH).

Up until now I've been riding a £100 mountain bike from Halfords, which wasn't the most comfortable bike in the world! But I've just invested in my first ever racer, a Raleigh Airlite Aura 2010. Sadly I've had a few problems regarding delivery and service from where I ordered it, but once that's all sorted I'm looking forward to getting used to it... and actually being able to keep up with my OH (well, in theory) now I'm not on a bike which weighs a ton!

Welcome Beckyyy,

You'll love the difference a road bike makes - it'll probably feel a bit "twitchy" at first due to the narrower wheels and handlebar width and lighter overall weight - but you soon get used to it, and you'll go faster than you think.

We're in Scotland, so lots of lovely places to cycle but we're also on the coast - so lots of wind .
